The Pride of Utrecht: Domtorentjes

Aside from the beautiful Dom Tower, another pride of Utrecht is the Domtorentjes, a mouthwatering pure chocolate bonbon filled with special chocolate cream inside. This delicacy is a registered trademark of Theo Blom and only available in their confectioners shop in the heart of the city, a few meters away from the Dom Tower.

The Banketbakkerij Theo Blom is located at the Zadelstraat 23, the trusted home of the famous Domtorentjes. They are residing here since 1922 and it is here where Theo Blom begun to make this great pride of Utrecht.

If you are looking for something unique and something typical Utrecht, then a box of Domtorentjes is a nice present to give. You can buy it per piece and also available in a box of 4 and 10 pieces. I always buy these bonbons whenever there are occasions in the house ( or simply when we are craving for it!) and whenever we are going to visit someone.

I like the box with the relief of the Dom tower. In fact, I always cut the picture and save it.

Beside the luxe Domtorentjes, you can also try their special Botersprits (butter cookies), which is also one of our favorites. Other than these luscious specialties, the heavenly confections below are really inviting. 

I always gain extra calories every time I visit here. Theo Blom's specialties are not just delightful to see, but also delightful to eat! Aren't they?
