Last Queen's Day, Utrecht

The greatest event of the year in Holland. The last Queen's Day!

"Queen's Night 29 April": Evening before the Queen's Day (Koninginnedag 2013, Utrecht).

We walked from Ledig Erf (Twijnstraat) to the Dom Tower to the Vrijmarkt (Free Market).

...watched the concert at the Neudeplein.

The spirit of the Queen's Day in this small street was fantastic! The view of the water tower was beautiful.

...and today 30 april 2013: The Abdication Queen Beatrix and Crowning King Willem-Alexander.

After 123 years, Nederland heeft nu weer een Koning! It was a busy day, but it was also a very beautiful day, a national celebration.
